Hacienda Queiles is a small estate in the Queiles valley in Navarra in the north east of Spain. Here they carefully tend their groves of Arbequina olives, a variety known for its fruity, herbal flavor and very low acidity. Their Alhema de Queiles extra virgin olive oil is a mild, fruity oil with a smooth flavor. While it's sister oil, Abbae, is pressed from the very early harvest, this is the normal harvest oil. It is still first cold pressed and carefully stored, but is more affordable than its rare sister. Hacienda Queiles owns all of their olive trees and therefore can control the quality of the oil they produce. They are certified USDA organic and use no pesticides or artificial fertilizers on their olive groves.
